Tonight: David J from Love & Rockets at Austin's goth hangout Elysium.
Tomorrow night: the Clean at the Club DeVille (their first Texas date ever, apparently).
That 90s revival hasn't gotten its foothold completely, apparently.

I know. This is a big deal. It's an interesting venue, too - the bands play outside with a cliff as a backdrop.
Listening to the Clean's Anthology (or, as I like to call it, New Zealand invents indie pop) as prep. I think if an alien landed tomorrow and asked me what this "indie rock" thing is, I'd just hand him this record as explanation.

Just saw Shut Up And Play The Hits as part of the Vivid Festival. First time I'd seen a film at the Sydney Opera House, in the concert hall with HUGE sound system which was pretty cool.
Deffo one of the better concert films things I've seen.
The scene where Murphy surveys all their equipment post-gig in a storage space before they get rid of it's a bit of a tearjerker.
