Weaned off of Ween. . .

I won't need to be weaned, as I was never really into them, but 25 years for that level of band is a good run. The only thing I ever owned was an appropriately yellow vinyl copy of "Piss Up a Rope" from Diesel Only (if memory serves; it often doesn't).

Ah, too bad. I like Ween a lot. Saw them once and it was a great show. Their albums got progressively better but I don't have the last one, I'll have to search that one out.

I bought that God/Ween album when it was new in the early 90s and thought it was pretty interesting and funny. And then I quit paying attention for them for a decade or so, but I've picked up most of their other albums here and there. Parts of them are utterly brilliant (that song "My Own Bare Hands" is one of the funniest things ever written). Never saw 'em live. Oh well.

I seem to recall tripping and not being able to get down within hearing distance of a Ween CD at least once. Can't remember if the entire thing got played or not.

Ridiculously funny stuff.

...

The only other thing I can recall is seeing them as puppets on Crank Yankers which would have been odd if it weren't a puppet show.

New Hope, PA. Cute town. Visit.

I visited New Hope, PA ten years ago. It was indeed a cute town, with a ridiculously attractive hippie woman running an antique shop down by the river.

Then I spent the rest of the day driving around on amazingly frustrating Pennsylvania highways, one of which I swear intersected itself at one point.
