Doc Watson. I was fortunate enough to see him numerous times. I'm glad that I had those opportunities.

I hate when people overuse the word "spiritual"--but a few times seeing Doc had some of that.

I figured this was coming after last week's reports of his failing health.

He had a long, distinguished career. The world is a better place for having had him in it.

My wife's comment was that Doc and Merle are finally playing together again in heaven. There was a nice piece on NPR this morning about him.

I was lucky enough to see him at Bard College in 1985.
