...because now I'm praying for the world to end on April 2 of this year instead of December 21.

Damnation - they're not coming to the west coast!

I actually don't think I've ever heard anything by Candlebox, thank Jah.

There was a '90s revival? Guessed I missed that. What happened, Fatboy Slim remixed Adele?, Lady Gaga covered the Counting Crows, what?

(Oh, and I wouldn't know a Candlebox song if it hit me upside the head.)

At least they didn't release a greatest hits album with a single new track shoehorned on to the end.

If you heard a song in the early- to mid-90s sandwiched between Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam that sounded more like a hair-metal power ballad than grunge (and I say that regardless of whether or not you like STP and PJ), you've heard Candlebox.

“I haven’t felt this way about a release from Candlebox since our first record,” says guitarist Peter Klett.

Of course you don't. Neither do I. What did your first album sound like? Sorta "grungy?" Right. Now I can remember! Now I can remember!

“The feeling for this record is both refreshing and stimulating. I can’t be more excited to release this music to the fans who have been with us for so long.”

So glad you're not just doin' it fer the money. Keeping that in mind, I'll be picking up that used Shaggs CD instead. Color me elitist. G'head.
