I actually remember the photo of Grace Slick holding China Kantner by her feet. Funny how an image like that could be buried in my brain and forgotten for 41 years but seeing it again is enough to make me briefly feel like it's 1971 once more.

My eyes hurt from looking at the decor in most of those houses! I hadn't thought much lately about how awful Seventies style was, but this collection brings it all back.
Fortunately, my parents' taste in home decor was more subdued — no big-floral-print upholstery in my childhood, thank you Mom & Dad! (Although we must discuss those leisure suits some time.)

a updated article would be a picture comparison with old rock stars in contrast with how they look at their age and pictures of their same sex parents at the same age

I'm finding it difficult to sort that last bit out. Perhaps you're using the word "parent" in a figurative sense?

No need to fret. In a few years, Etheridge's kid'll be making records and you'll have at least one item for your planned photo op.
Who else might be available by then ? We'll only have to wait a decade or so.
...
Those images of Zappa are a riot, btw. His folks look ... weird.
