This 2011 movie used a Rockpile song during the opening credits...

I had to cheat and look it up. I vaguely remembered it from a forgettable film rented on Time Warner but couldn't dredge it up on my own.
Great TP trivia question. . .

In spite of all evidence pointing to Lars Von Trier's Melancholia, I'm going to guess Hall Pass, strictly based on Erik's "forgettable" assessment.

I can count on one hand the movies I saw in 2011, so I'm not even gonna venture a guess.

Given breno's comment, I'm going to guess that Bad Teacher begins with "Teacher Teacher," and hope I win something other than a chance to watch the movie.

Well, that certainly makes sense, but I wouldn't know, because I can't stand Cameron Diaz anymore. It's just one of those things.

Can I ask the new question? Funny this post should pop up now...
I just (this afternoon) saw a recent mainstream movie in which a good portion of the plot revolved around a Teenage Fanclub song. I was surprised. Anyone see/know this film?
My wife and I saw it in an artsy/second-run kind of theater, so I assume it's a month or two old.

I haven't seen that one yet but it looks pretty decent. Do you give it a thumbs up or down?

I enjoyed it. . . Not a knockout, but it was certainly engrossing and worth my time. Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt are pretty good. Great soundtrack: Replacements, Lemonheads, Fanclub. . .
It was a step above a lot of movies in a similar vein (like Bad Teacher, for example).

Ah, mentioning Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt is a dead giveaway - "Young Adult"
