TEN TEN (Buy CDs by this artist)
Ordinary Thinking (Generic) 1984
Walk On (Chrysalis) 1986

Ordinary Thinking offers diabolically good melodic rock from a Virginia quartet with a British accent. The memorable tunes are energetically played with attractive, intricate vocals and arrangements that smoothly blend guitars and synthesizers in almost equal doses. Such an excellent independent album undoubtedly helped Ten Ten snag their major label contract; unfortunately, the resultant record, Walk On (produced by future Morrissey collaborator Stephen Street), is terrible, sub-Ultravox tripe that includes a pitiful cover of the Plimsouls' powerful "Million Miles Away."
